Personal PROFILE
Junghwan Kim is an associate professor at the College of Media and Communication at Korea University. Prior to this position, Dr. Kim accumulated industry experience at NAVER, the largest digital platform in South Korea. This sparked Dr. Kim's interest in fostering a healthy digital platform ecosystem, leading to a natural extension of interest in webtoon creators and local small-medium businesses.
Dr. Kim is actively collaborating with various stakeholders to conduct educational experiments in this domain.
With a keen interest in understanding the impact of technology on humanity and society,
Dr. Kim is dedicated to exploring ways to define and address (local) social issues through data.
His recent research focuses on AI, the entertainment industry, and the startup ecosystem.
