[CIS, SSRC] Behind the Scenes #2: Playing Music in Broadcasting

On April 29, 2026, CIS and SSRC hosted the second session of the “Behind the Scenes” series, titled “Playing Music in Broadcasting: When Content Meets Music.” The session was held at the International Conference Room in Korea University’s Centennial Memorial Hall.

Dong-wook Seo, Team Leader at SLL, was invited as the guest speaker. Drawing on his professional experience in the broadcasting and content industry, he shared insights into how music is selected, used, and managed in broadcast content.

The session provided students with an opportunity to understand the role of music in shaping the mood, narrative, and overall impact of media content. It also introduced practical aspects of working in the broadcasting industry, offering a closer look at how creative and strategic decisions are made behind the scenes.

As part of the ongoing “Behind the Scenes” series, this session helped participants explore the professional practices and hidden processes that support today’s media and entertainment industries.
