[SSRC] 2026 Student Creative Research Brain-Storming Session

On February 26, 2026, our lab participated in a creative brainstorming session held at Korea University’s Media Hall, aimed at forming teams for the Student Creative–Autonomous Research Program.

This year’s program takes a more focused and experimental approach, forming a small number of teams composed of highly motivated volunteers. The center has emphasized its commitment to actively supporting student-led, innovative research—particularly projects that explore interdisciplinary ideas and push beyond conventional academic boundaries.

The brainstorming session served as an open platform for student researchers to share ideas, discuss emerging questions, and connect with peers who share similar intellectual interests. Rather than beginning with fixed topics, participants were encouraged to explore broad curiosities and collaboratively shape them into potential research directions.

A key strength of this initiative lies in its flexibility and emphasis on convergence. By enabling collaborations across different universities and academic disciplines, the program fosters a research environment where creativity, autonomy, and experimentation are central.

Through this session, participants not only began forming potential teams but also took the first step toward developing research ideas that are both personally meaningful and academically impactful. We look forward to seeing how these early-stage discussions evolve into innovative projects in the coming months!
