On June 9, 2025, the BK21 Research Group for Media Education, Smart Media Service Research Center, Center for ICT & Society hosted the 1st KU–UGA Forum of the year at the CCL, Central Plaza, Korea University.

Themed “The Present and Future of Media Research and Education in Korea and the U.S.”, the forum served as a platform for academic exchange and international collaboration between Korea University and the University of Georgia (UGA).

The forum fostered rich conversations around evolving trends in media research, curriculum development, and the challenges and opportunities of media education in a globalized academic landscape. Participants explored how each institution is responding to changes in the digital environment.

This event not only strengthened academic ties between KU and UGA but also opened possibilities for future research collaboration, student exchange, and joint educational initiatives in the field of media and communication.
