[SSRC, CIS] 2025 Spring Joint Conference of the Korean Media Management Association and the Korean Association for Information Society

On May 30, 2025, the Korean Media Management Association and the Korean Association for Information Society held their 2025 Spring Joint Academic Conference at SK Future Hall, Korea University, under the theme:

“Media Trust and the Reconstitution of Responsibility in the Age of Digital Intelligence and Hyper-Connected Society.”

Researchers across academia and industry gathered to share new insights into how media, platforms, and data systems shape public trust, communication strategy, and social impact in today’s rapidly changing digital environment.

Among the presenters were several members of SUITE LAB:

• Sewon presented her paper "User Segments and Loyalty on Beauty YouTube."

• Saehe presented her paper "Factors Influencing Fandom Fatigue of Entertainment Fans on the Weverse Platform."

• Min Hyeok presented his paper "How Would Korean Platform Startups Survive?"

• Eugene presented her paper "Sustainability of YouTube Creators in the Creator Economy."

• Seungyeon presented her paper "From Page to Platform: How the South Korean Book Publishing Industry Adapts D2C Strategies and Digitalization Capabilities."

• Jaeyoung presented her paper "How Commerciality in YouTube Beauty Content Affects User Engagement and Revenue?"

Professor Seongcheol Kim (Korea University) moderated the Main Theme Session, which explored critical perspectives on ESG management and corporate responsibility.

The 2025 Spring Joint Conference served as a vibrant forum for interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together scholars, practitioners, and students committed to advancing knowledge at the intersection of media, technology, and society.
