On April 14, 2025, SSRC and CIS hosted the 3rd SUITE Forum of the year. The forum, titled "Strategic Communication in the Age of Digital Intelligence," brought together faculty members to share their research insights on communication strategies in an evolving digital landscape.
Moderated by Professor Junghwan Kim, the event featured two engaging presentations:
Professor Jennifer Ihm (Associate Professor, School of Media & Communication) presented on "Strategic Communication for Creating Social Value", highlighting the role of communication in driving public impact, fostering engagement, and shaping narratives around social responsibility.
Professor Hyelim Lee (Assistant Professor, School of Media & Communication) followed with a talk titled "Strategic Communication and Data-Based Public Analysis: Approaches and Challenges in the Digital Era." Her presentation delved into how data analytics can inform and transform public communication strategies, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary approaches and the pursuit of ethical public relations practices in the digital age.
The session offered valuable perspectives on how scholars are addressing the challenges and potentials of communication in the digital era. It also opened up meaningful discussions among attendees on bridging theory and practice in strategic communication research.
